Race #14

The best field since ironman and the best weather since last summer combined to make the first race in the Bodyline Stroke & Stride Series an awesome event.

Premier swimmers Richard Wells and Megan Robertson chose to race without wetsuits and still managed to lead from the water after the 750 metre swim.

Lightening fast transitions from both Richard and Megan enabled them to start the 3 kilometre run with a handy lead which they held to the finish giving them maximum Grand Prix Points.

Wes Hobson from the United States of America  followed up his 14th place in last month’s world champs to take second place only nine seconds down.  New kid on the block, Hamish Carter, racing for the Tri Action Cycles team, stormed the run to finish third.  Old timer Sue Clark took time out from taking registrations to smoke the run and finish second in the women’s field closely followed by Heidi Alexander in third.
